Incorporating a highly efficient spur gearbox, the ProSeries windlasses utilize smaller, but more powerful, permanent magnet motors with lower amp draw and smaller diameter wires than those required by series wound motors driving worm gearboxes.

Overall, this makes for a lighter, less costly, and easier one-piece installation requiring no disassembly or motor alignment.

Lewmar 700H Pro Series Features

• All metal components are stainless steel - case, gypsy, chain stripper and control arm
• Direct replacement for Horizon 600 windlasses - exact same mounting hole pattern, but increased pulling power
• For Rope, or chain, or combination rodes (3-strand rope required)
• A clutch mechanism allows for emergency manual lowering
• Built-in emergency manual recovery system; uses a common 1/2" drive ratchet wrench such as Craftsman or Snap-on
• Footswitches and handheld remotes are available as additional control options; for dual control station installations it is most cost effective to use the 1000h
